SS04 Dior by Hedi Slimane “Strip” Distressed Waxed Jeans

Hedi Slimane's tenure at Dior is nothing short of legendary. From early 2000 to mid 2007, Hedi greatly increased profits for the iconic fashion house. Using dramatic, extremely slim silhouettes, he captured the epitome of rockstar chic. After his first full year at Dior, profits increased by 41 percent, he is credited with popularizing the skinny silhouette of that time as well as revitalizing the menswear line.

Hedi's Spring/Summer 2004 collection, called Strip, is now considered to be one of his greatest collections to date. With extremely slim silhouettes, unique denim and a plethora of studded sneakers and pointed leather boots, it displayed items that were made for an ultra slim male physique.

These jeans, which were seen heavily throughout different looks in the collection, feature a beautiful wax applied to the denim, that gives it a soft sheen. Being a tagged size 29 and having carefully distressed rips and an elongated inseam, they are truly a unique, beautiful pair of denim.
