AW96 Dirk Bikkembergs Knee High Bungee Cord Boots

Dirk Bikkembergs was a member of the famous Antwerp Six, a group of graduates who finished their studies at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1981. Starting his eponymous label in the late 1980s, he only really started gaining traction during the mid 1990s for his unique utilitarian and military styled designs that often incorporated elements of sports and excercise.

This pair of Bungee Cord boots are extremely, extremely rare. Only available to Friends and Family via custom order back in 1996, they are very rarely seen online and could very well be put up in a museum, never to be worn again.
